    So, what have we got? Amateur is not a series of porn, but a fresh new producer from the city of Amsterdam. New? Not entirely. His history goes from being one of the producers of Blokgolf to being a musician in the bands Krause, Sumera and Melomanics. Impressive, right?

    What about his style? Where’s he heading?? Ehm, Amateur melts old and new together into refreshing analog sounds. His Jupiter, drum computer and his 70’s, 80’s and 90’s inspirations like electro, acid and disco, are a steady base for dark dancefloor bangers. The originals ‘Virgo Intacto’ and ‘The Adding Machine’ are like classic electro and acid tracks with all the club intents from this century. And the remixes…

    The Virgo Intacto remix by RipTidE represents what the man is good at. His tracks are played out by Erol Alkan, Boys Noize and Aeroplane, so no need for being modest. He just delivers electronic highlights, every time. Ike Ratio is an alter ego of producer André Luyten from former group The Routines. What he did with Virgo Intacto is as breath taking as it is amazing. His remix combines beautiful soundscapes, ambient and electro, just to make sure your trip is a beautiful one. To top it off, there’s this oldschool bass orientated remix from The Adding Machine by Cosmic Force. He just took the original to an even more evil place then it already was. You might not want to listen to this one alone.
